We are located in Al Lahbab Desert, just 50 mins from Downtown Dubai. It's the famous Red Dunes area - far more beautiful than city-edge deserts. We send you live location pin after booking. You can self-drive (4x2 is okay to meeting point) or we arrange pickup for AED 350 per vehicle extra for Buggy/Quad tours. Office: Citadell Tower, Al Wasl, Dubai, UAE. What are the timings? Difference between 30 vs 60 mins?
Morning: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM (coolest, best light). Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (adventurous, hot). Sunset: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM (most popular, golden hour). 30 mins = ~12km loop, 1 big dune stop. 60 mins = ~25km, 3-4 stops, deeper desert, more freedom to drift with guide permission.
What is included in the price?
For Buggy/Quad: Vehicle (fuel included), safety briefing, helmets/goggles, professional guide leader, refreshments (water/juice), photo stops. For Safari packages: camel ride, sandboarding, private camp entry, BBQ buffet dinner (veg/non-veg), soft drinks, Tanoura dance, fire show, henna, shisha. Dune buggy / Quad is OPTIONAL and available at additional charge - ask for combo deal. All tours: No hidden fees, per vehicle rate (not per person for buggies/quads/safari). Pickup & Dropoff: 350 AED per vehicle extra for Buggy/Quad tours.
Do I need a license? Age limit?
No driving license needed - it's private desert! Age to drive: 16+ with adult. Passengers: 5+ can ride in 4-seater buggies with parent. Quad bikes: 16+ solo. We provide full safety briefing. Pregnant women, people with back problems, heart conditions cannot ride.
Is pickup included? What should I wear?
Self-drive to Al Lahbab is recommended and free. Pickup/drop from Dubai available for AED 350 per vehicle extra for Buggy/Quad tours. Wear closed shoes (no flip-flops), sunglasses, light clothes, bring sunscreen. We provide helmets but bring your own scarf/mask for sand.
Why Al Lahbab and not Al Aweer?
Al Lahbab is 50 mins from downtown but worth it: huge red dunes (30-40m high), open desert (no buildings), far less crowded, authentic Bedouin vibe. Al Aweer is small, dusty, near industrial area. All Instagram famous photos are from Lahbab red desert!
